fingerprints...

Hey everyone.
As always, it has been a while since I've updated you all on what is going on.
The past few weeks have been very interesting, and I've learned a lot to say the least.

The Honor Academy has interns from two different classes, August and January.
So when I arrived in January, there were Augusts here that had been in the internship for five months before me. Well that class of Augusts just graduated on the 7th and the new class of Augusts arrived on the 13th.
This is especially significant to me because my job in the ministry has been to call those people and do everything I can to get them to come in August; I helped them with fundraising and their paperwork as well as answering their questions and helping them understand what it is that God is calling them to!
So ever since I first got here in January, I have spent eight months growing very close to the Augusts that were already here as well as working 31 hours a week to completely replace all of them.
Interesting concept? Yes.
Bitter-sweet? Very much so!
Worth it? Totally!!!
Watching how God has radically touched the new Augusts this past week has really opened my eyes to why I call incoming interns every day...
I was sharing with the new Augusts, that are now my roommates, last night, and this is what I told them.

"This past week has been so encouraging to me. Because for eight months I have called and called and called!! I called the day my nephew took his first step, I called the day my cat was sold to some random family, the day my godmother died, the day of my senior prom, the day my class walked at graduation, and when my dog died. Not to mention the inability to be there for my sister during hard times and to help her raise my nephew, Jackson, as well as just being so far away from everyone else I love. I sacrificed my family, my senior year of high school, my boyfriend, my job, my church family, my own dreams of my future, all of my friends (or at least the little I had left) I left ALL of everything I had behind!! But watching you guys grow this past week has made every single phone call worth it. It's made all of my sacrifices worth it!! One day you will understand that. If you are a caller for Global Expeditions mission trips while you are an intern here, you will understand... when you call missionaries all year, and they finally show up on campus because you called them, and then they go out and present the Gospel to a lost sinner, and that sinner chooses to follow Christ, and because you called that person, people are being saved... one day you will understand how huge of a fingerprint you are leaving... I'm realizing that now... and it's really really great!!!"

That's the testimony I shared with my brand new roommates last night. I'm so excited to be a part of the beginning of their own experience of the Honor Academy!! It's amazing how God is using me.

And so I just want to extend this back a few more steps.
from the very very very beginning.
My brother, Tyler, died of cancer, which opened many doors for the Lord to come in.
My church family invited me to an event where I decided to follow Christ.
My family was radically changed..
Sinners were Saved
We went to a Battlecry event, which is put together by INTERNS!
Battlecry events and Acquire the Fire events spark that decision in many young people to follow Christ.
Sinners were saved.
At Battlecry, I showed interest in Global Expeditions missions.
An INTERN called me to get me to go on a mission trip.
I went three years in a row, because Interns kept calling me!!
Sinners were saved!
and then an intern called me to get me to the HA, her name was Samantha.
Now I work with Samantha to call future interns to get them here.
As soon as they are here, they do one of many different things..
They either call more kids like me to get them on mission trips,
And more sinners are saved..
or they call youth pastors to get them to Battlecry or Acquire the Fire events..
And the movement of God continues to circulate.
and even more sinners are saved!!

this is a beautiful story...
but what all too commonly slips through the cracks is the most important part of the whole process...

so let's try this again....
from the very very very beginning.
My brother, Tyler, died of cancer, which opened many doors for the Lord to come in.
My church family invited me to an event where I decided to follow Christ.
(which required money that my church provided through the Lord's blessing.)
My family was radically changed..
Sinners were Saved
We went to a Battlecry event, (which required money that my church provided through the Lord's blessing.) which is put together by INTERNS!(more money was required from the interns to even be in the internship, coming from their supporters and churches!)
Battlecry events and Acquire the Fire events spark that decision in many young people to follow Christ.
(and it takes money from those youth groups to get them to the event, probably coming from their churches and supporters!)
Sinners were saved.
At Battlecry, I showed interest in Global Expeditions missions.
An INTERN called me to get me to go on a mission trip.
I went three years in a row, because Interns kept calling me!!
(which required money that my church and supporters provided through the Lord's blessing.)
Sinners were saved!
and then an intern called me to get me to the HA, her name was Samantha. (she also needed money to pay for her internship, provided through her supporters.)
Then I came to the Honor Academy.
(which required money that my church and supporters provided)
Now I work with Samantha to call future interns to get them here.
(which requires money that their churches and supporters provide through the Lord's blessing.)
As soon as they are here, they do one of many different things..
They either call more kids like me to get them on mission trips,
(the missionaries need money for their trips as well, provided through support)
And more sinners are saved..
or they call youth pastors to get them to Battlecry or Acquire the Fire events..
(and more money is required...)
And the movement of God continues to circulate.
and even more sinners are saved!!

the problem with living in the world is that we have to operate and go by the world's standards... and everyone knows that this world operates around money.
And so I cannot possibly describe how grateful, humbled, and equipped I have been to follow God's calling on my life thanks to all of you!! So I hope you can start to understand that by being the foundation from which I work, you have a huge hand in changing the world!!!

I just thought I would share that with you so that you are all aware of what you're support is actually doing.

Thank you so much.
God bless you!
