hey everyone.
I've been doing an awful job keeping this blog up to date and current, and then I get overwhelmed every time I think about trying to type everything up.
so I'm going to be working on some discipline on keeping my blog up to date so that I never update it because there is too much to update... :D
I stayed at the Honor Academy as a Management Associate. I love the program so far and it has been great. I get food allotment every month to buy my own food with and cook every meal for myself. It's much better then eating in the cafeteria!
The Lord has been teaching me about so much lately and I'm beginning the journey into a much deeper level with the Him in our relationship. He's specifically teaching me about the church being the bride of Christ and what that means about His heart towards us. As well as the literal meaning of what the Word of God says by studying the Hebrew and Greek words. The words always seem to have such a deeper meaning then what we are able to encompass in one English word. I hope to study that more often. Another thing God is doing in me is teaching me what it means to be a real disciple. In bible times, the disciples were people who would follow Jesus, or whichever Rhabbi they were disciples of, so closely that they were with him 24/7. They would sometimes refer to disciples as those who were covered in the dust of HIS feet because of the closeness and devoted following of the disciples. Not to mention the level of memorization they had accomplished. They KNEW the word of God. This has challenged me lately and I hope to read much more of the word each week and one day have chapters memorized. The overall goal of the disciples was to be as much like Jesus as possible. That's what we strive for as Christians and so I will continue to mold my life as close to how Jesus would live as possible. I believe I have forgotten that principle in the past and have just tried to live a "good Christian" life. But it needs to be so much more then that. and it will be, from now on. :)
God is so good to me and I'm so excited for the new places He is going to bring me. :)
